Don Gross
Certification Evaluator and Consultant to the RRC Program

Don recently retired from the position of city administrator of the City of Southfield. During his 38 years with the City, he was responsible for developing and administering zoning regulations, site plan reviews, economic development programs, budgeting, administering state and federal programs and working with state and federal legislators, developing a Capital Improvement Program, and assisting in the creation of the Southfield Downtown Development Authority and City Centre Advisory Board in addition to many other aspects of city planning, economic development and city management. His expertise has proved invaluable to cities in the RRC program.

Planning Consultant to the RRC Program

David Scurto is an urban planner with twenty one years of experience in the areas of community planning and development, corridor and transit studies, brownfield and eco-urbanism design development, urban design, graphics and construction administration. He has provided project management and leadership services for Michigan cities, townships and counties by helping them develop and enforce zoning, subdivision, condominium, lot splits, water resource and regulated use ordinances. David has led and participated in several urban design plans for business districts, corridors, large residential communities, waterfront marina districts and neighborhoods.  He is currently Senior Planner at Hamilton Anderson Associates.

Jamie is a self-taught graphic designer and art director of 12 years. Through his company, Jamie Latendresse Design, he functions as the creative force behind the Suburbs Alliance's visual communications and identity. In addition to serving as the Creative Arts Director for CPOP Gallery and the first three years of the Detroit Electronic Music Festival, he has worked for clients including General Motors, HUMMER, Hour Media, Paxahau Promotions and Children's Hospital of Detroit. Previously Jamie was co-owner of the Hamtramck gallery, Primary Space, and a member of the Hamtramck Downtown Development Authority. Jamie lives and works in Ferndale.
